any info.on this stuff would be appreciated.

Sounds like 30 Tokarev (7.62x25). Are you looking for more info on the cartridge or on that ammo in particular?

Sounds like Tokarev ammo to me, did you buy it because it looked like .30luger ammo?

Tokarev is descended from the same parent case as .30 mauser and .30luger ... and interestingly 9x19luger as well

It is Chinese 7.62x25 Tokarev ammo, for Type "50" weapons, and there are "70" rounds in the box. The headstamp on each round should give you the year date. Excellent ammo, but corrosive, so clean accordingly.

7.62*25mm

Than you Jonnyc,
What I really want to know,is it pistol or subgun ammo/

All 7.62x25 Tokarev ammo is designed for use in BOTH pistols and SMGs. There is no such thing as Tokarev "sub-gun" ammo, and I invite anyone to provide any documentary (not anecdotal!!!) evidence to the contrary.
