Bought a pound of Hogdon's 777 FFFG today (incidentally at Fultons, the famous gunshop at Bisley shooting ground) and it cost me £38!

Deep breath, my American friends...

That's $54! (yes, for a pound of powder!) Fifty-four US Dollars. Perhaps I should have asked Mr Obama to bring me some over in the trunk of Airforce 1?

All of a sudden, making black seems more attractive. :banghead:

Well.. you're both right, but I was already at Bisley visiting the NRA, so it was easy to walk into the shop and buy some - and I don't shoot MLAGB competitions (although my club is MLAGB affiliated) - just Historic Revolver at my club.

To tell the truth I had not asked how much it would be, till I had my card in the payment machine! - Last time I bought some it was much less!

I'm thinking of going back to Pyrodex. Even at Fultons, it was £10 less.

That's cheap.
The last pound of 777 i bought from the Barbican Amoury

set me back £39.94.

That was months ago so nodoubt it's gone up in

price in the meantime due to transport and handling charges lol.

The EU requires 3 men to handle any imperial weight.

Move to America. We need you here. BTW, New Jersey, New York, Maryland and California are not part of America. GOEX is about $15 per pound.

Wow. £39 is apalling. Hope you shoot a .31 or a .36, not a Dragoon!

I've considered moving to the 'states many times, but never gone through with it. Have visited Spokane, WA and California. Preferred WA.

Fultons blamed the exchange rate and UK shipping charges.

wow, at that price, i would look into making your own. but i suspect that the materials may be hard to come by in G.B. and / or, it may have a legal issue there as well (explosive material).

use swiss... probably cheaper. or the French Poudre Noir stuff from Vectan...

Alistaire-- The Eastern Shore of Maryland should not be included with the portion to the west of the bay. We are registered Democrats but our politics are far to the right of even Ghengis Khan. We detest the juxaposition of our selves with the various socialist regions of our republic.

The same can be said of Western and Southern Maryland, except that we're mostly registered Republicans. Get rid of the I-95 Axis, and this is a pretty nice state.

You are still prisoners of the socialists. Of course with Apophis as president, we may all be int the same boat soon.
