It has a 14" bbl and id like to see if something other than factory loadings would be better since theyre for a rifle. any help?

Hummmmm only powder that works really good in my 7mm-08 is Big Game, and that might be a little too slow burning for a pistol, you probably need to be in the Varget burn rate range.
Edit, silly me I forgot Nosler #6 does have recommended loads for 7mm-08 Pistol, also using a 14" tube. 335 is the recommended powder for 140gr with 40.0 being the max load and most accurate (2402fps) and H380 is king for 150gr with 45.5gr being both max load and most accurate, I have had REALLY good luck with Nosler pet loads in my five rifles, they just plain work.
Varget, AA2520, RL15, H414 and IMR4895, and RL19 seem to be the other top contender powders.

There is no truth to the old wives tail that you need a faster powder in a shorter barrel.

Whatever powder gives the highest velocity in a 24" rifle will also give the highest velocity in a 14" handgun..

Just look in any reloading manual for which powder that is.

^ Uh yeah I know, but a large charge of slow burning powder in a 14" tube can make for a muzzle blast that would make you never want to shoot that firearm again. You don't need faster powders for accuracy sake.

If he tries 47.5gr of Big Game in a pistol the resulting fireball might burn the hair off his arms, but bet your bottom dollar that sucker would be moving hella fast, the RL19 loads would be just as bad come to think of it, but they have the best listed speeds in both 140 and 150gr in handgun.
