How much effect will shooting a 7mm out of a 23.5 inch barrel have on its ballistics and energy versus shooting from a 26 inch barrel. I do not hand load so will be relagated to using factory ammo for now. I know that the velocity will suffer from going to a shorter barrel but will that drop be extreme enough to greatly affect the 7mm's potential. I'm fairly green to the barrel versus velocity topic so any help would be great.
