You know, someone should probably tell him that it is illegal, if he just sends it to the person who wins.

I shot him an email informing him of the legal issues surrounds transferring a reciever across state lines.

Emailed him, got a reply. He was unaware of the law, so I told him how to ship interstate, and referred him to THR for further info. Thanks for the link!

Does look like it is going to end with bids, though. 5 hrs left.

He's only about 10 miles from me. I might just bid on this. 4 hrs 48 min to go.

He has the barrel (21' w/rifle sights) and PG forearm as two of his other auctions. No stock however ?!?!?!?

But it doesn't look scary enough to be a gun in all those little parts.

I just gotta ask, why is it that someone would pay 180 for half a gun, when you could get a whole new one for about $220?

I suspect that someone is hoping to get it "off the books", probably not the best of ideas though.

Ebay now shows that as an "Invalid Item".

If it's the one I looked at a couple of days ago, it appeared to me the receiver had been chopped at the back and had therefore been rendered a 'non- gun.' Had a lot number scrawled on the side of the receiver, 151 or something like that?

I bought an 870 of the same vintage and in better condition for $69 at a pawnshop.

I guess buying that one off Ebay may be cheaper than ordering parts from brownells.
