Hi all,

I just noticed that my i/c tube in my 870 express is quite a bit smaller in inside diameter than the bore when screwed in tight - i.e. there is a step up when running my finger from the bore out, over the choke tube. Maybe .020" or so? Noticeable for sure. What do you think, is it a problem? It would seem like that would catch the wad when its traveling down the barrel...

Thanks for the help,

Pete

Well, it can't be good.

They should be exactly flush with the bore with almost a seamless joint.

Try the other tubes, and if they are O.K., I'd try another IC tube from somewhere.
Maybe a gunshop would let you try one.

If all the tubes are like that, I'd say you have a barrel out of spec.

Well dont I feel like a chump - I went and checked again, and the choke tube is actually slightly larger than the bore... I wouldn't think that is such a bad problem. Now I just need to pattern the gun and see how it does I guess.

Thanks!
