I'd have to say if you're going to stick with the stock sights, Hungry Seagull's right on the money when it comes to sighting it. It can work and depending on your use; even a standard bead and groove setup can be quite accurate with a little practice.
If you want something with a little more substance, I recommend a set of GRS (Ghost Ring Sights). Be warned though, they can get just as pricey to install after market as a Red Dot or Magnified Optics. To get an idea of prices, check Midway Usa or other gun parts suppliers for Trijicon(R), Scattergun Technologies(R) and XS(R) Ghost Ring Rears. The rear ring and gun smith installed drilling, tapping and zeroing should give you "Carbine Like" accuracy within 50 meters for a couple of hundred bucks.
