I bought 1K of 88 Gr JHPs on sale dirt cheap years ago when I was a poor young man just looking to make my guns go bang for cheap. W-231 and those bullets worked just fine. I still have a few. I don't remember the price. I do remember buying 1K of Master Match 125 Gr SPs on sale for $29.99. I still have 495 of those.

My 44th edition 1967 lyman manual has a 95gr accuracy load at 6.2grs of unique if that helps at all.

I would use the 90 grain data. Seems like 88 grain is a 380 bullet usually so I would measure a couple bullets and make sure they were indeed .356. I'm not totally sure but I think 380 is a little wider

They are measuring at .355". I am actually going to my local gun shop today to get different loads. There's a .380 in the family that I'll save these for.

Picked up 200 115 Speer Gold Dot JHP along with a pound of Bullseye. I got the Bullseye because I have a few other guns I can use it for.

The Speer #9 manual list data for a 90 gr jhp. 6.8 - 7.2 Unique for 1327 - 1391 fps. A S&W model 39 was used for testing. According to my old notes 7.0 unique and both the Seirra 90 gr and Speer 88 gr jhp's shot very well out of a 1944 FN Hi-Power.

Several decades ago Remington loaded their 9mm with an 88 gr. projectile. They also loaded an 88 gr. in their .38 special too. It's was very short lived and for good reason.
