Actually, I just shot my first 115gr LRN loads with Longshot a few hours ago. I loaded 100 with 5 grains and 100 with 5.5. My normal 9mm load is 3.3 of Clays.
It definitely packed some more punch than my Clays load, which I was expecting based on the velocities in my manual. Accuracy was mediocre out of my 4" XD9, at 25 yards, I was having trouble figuring out where my POI actually was. It changed a bunch from my Clays load, problem was consitency, seemed about 9-12" higher, but after 3-4 shots, I'd have a couple low, than a lateral flyer. I think even the 5 grain load (published minimum) was a bit hot for the lead boolits. It was launching brass 15-20 feet to between 4 and 5 O'clock. No signs of pressure on the brass, but even my +P SD loads don't fling brass like that.
My Sig 938 (3" barrel) liked it more, though still ha accuracy issues. Again, it was launching brass much harder than even with +P. It usually puts my brass 5ft away at 3 O'clock, it was hitting the awning above the bench hard.
Both guns normally run great with 115gr LRN boolits, some of the accuracy is probably my fault, I wasn't shooting especially well today, but there's something off with the load too IMHO.
Shot 197 rounds, saved 3 to shoot at work on my chrony, so we'll see what kind of velocity I'm actually getting out of it as soon as the parts for my breech come in. My gut feeling is that it's on the upper end of what my 115gr MBC boolits are capable of. I have a bunch of Hornady 115gr JHP that I'm going to try. Otherwise, I think I'm going to shelve the remaining powder until I use up my Clays and MBC lead bullets and try some plated 115s or 124s.
