9 mm pistol load for 100 yards?

…the magnification scares me! I'm wobbly enough that seeing my hold magnified is ugly. Maybe I should use it more for dry-fire drills, though, and see if I can gain ANY control over my bad habits.

If not seeing how ineffective you can maintain a point of aim helps you shoot better, I’d say you need to keep doing it until something changes.
 
Interesting topic. I have never done IHMSA Field Pistol competition, and hardly shoot over 25 yards with my pistol. Once in a while I would stretch it out to 35 or 40 with the pistol I feel most comfortable with at longer distances. It is a .355" projectile, but not 9mm. It is my 357sig. When I am looking for accuracy at longer distances, I go with my 357sig.

Maybe next time I should try my most accurate 357sig loads out at 50+ yards, to to get some idea what accuracy can be attained.

Put up a 12" square splatter target turned with the corners pointing up and down at 50 yards, and it's just like shooting one of these at 50 feet.
