On the recommendation of Monkeybear in Houston C&R Guys..., I just went and visited Fountain Firearms. Good recommendation as it turns out - it's nice to know there's one more gun shop in Houston that's a little more interesting than Academy or Gander Mountain.
During a long talk with the manager, I was shown an interesting 9 mm AR conversion. 9 mm ARs aren't unusual, but this one had an adapter that used an Allen head nut to secure it in the magazine well, so unencumbered Uzi mags could be used. Unfortunately, the store staff did not know who made the upper and the mag well adapter (no markings were to be found). Would any of y'all know who makes such a 9 mm magazine well adapter?
