I have a Tikka T3 and my Son has a Rem 783. So far in my Tikka I have been able to get the 85 grain and lighter bullets to shoot better than me. But 95 and 100 grain bullets don't do so well.

On my Son's Rem I have not done a lot of load testing. But I need to for the up coming Deer and Elk season.

Tikka says my 243 is a 1/10 and as far as I can figure the Rem is a 1/9. Should I really expect the Rem to handle the 100 grain bullet any better, or should I try the 90 grain bullets and hope for the best?

The Rem 783 with 1/9 twist will handle the 100gr Hornady BTSP just fine. My daughter has a Savage Axis w/22" barrel and 1:9 twist and it shoots exceptionally well with the Hornady 100gr BTSP and 7828.

I might not give up on the 100 grain bullet yet. I also had a savage M10 and it did not like the 100 grain bullets either. But I will probably try them in his Remington.
