A friend of a friend had a 2005 94AE that he said was "broke" He said the hammer would not stay in the cocked position and didn't want to deal with it. So he agreed to trade it to me for a 870 that I paid $120.00 for from a co-worker looking for some quick cash.

So I gladely took the trade when he gave me the rifle the butt stock was off and the hammer spring guide, trigger stop and trigger stop spring were in a plastic bag. He said he tried to fix it and couldn't get it back together.

First thing I noticed was the hammer spring was missing so I found one on Ebay

Then I found that the Trigger Stop Spring is broke that's why the hammer won't stay locked. It's been 3 months of watching Ebay without success.

I found a post 64 top eject Trigger Stop Spring will this work?
If not can anybody point me in the direction of one?

The post 64 part that I found was from E-GUN PARTS.

It looks like the same part, would like to know if it fits a 2005 model.

Unfortunately, I was always told to never buy a Post war model 94. Now I wish I had bought a post 64 top eject so I could swap the part to see if it works.

Your 94 AE is a post 64 rifle as the Angle Eject model started in the 80's. The problem you are having is that Winchester has shut down and there aren't any factory parts being made. If the springs look alike, chances are pretty good that they are the same. Most of the internal parts are the same on the top eject and the AE. The bolts are different though.

I'm going to order the part its only $6. Just thought someone might know for sure.

I know it's a post 64, I own a Trapper, Legacy octagon and two Rangers all AE in 30-30. I just don't think of the AE as post 64 for some reason even though it is. I think of post 64 as the Top Eject models from 1964-1983.

My youngest pre-war 1894 is a 1923 SRC in 25-35 I own many more mostly in 30WCF.

Now for the first time I wish I had a post 64 top eject to check if the part fits.
