Looking to load Rem 95 grain fmj in 9's and 380's using Unique for both, found a good load for the 380's 4 grains. Have a bunch of old data for the 9's seems kinda hot. Sierra old load is listed at 7 grain max, newer manuals are considerable less. Anyone have a safe favorite?
Thanks,
John

95 grain bullets are usually for the .380, not the 9mm. However, my Lyman Pistol & Revolver Handbook gives 5.0 to 6.2 of Unique for a 95 grain Remington bullet. 1.075" OAL. Says to use Winchester brass and primers too.
Data in manuals varies because they reflect conditions, powder lots, etc. on the day of the test. Powders change slightly over time too. And the equipment used these days is far more sensitive than that used years ago too.

Thanks fellows,
6.2 max sounds a little more like it. I'll roll a few and test them this weekend, if your interested, I'll post my results. Already have Win brass and primers.
