Hello...does anybody have a recipe for loading 9mm 147gr lead bullets with Hi-Skor 800x?
I found a recipe for 9mm 147gr XTP and 800x but not for lead. Can anyone help me out?

Hodgdon web site and Lee Modern reloading shows the range to be 3.5 to 4.0. I am a big fan of 800x powder for reloading but I only use it in 40 S&W and above. It meters poorly and with smaller calibers like 9mm that becomes more significant.

As always, please verify load data posted on a forum with the official published data. Official Hodgdon data is available online.

9mm lead and 800x

I saw the recipe for copper bullets and 800x on the Hodgdon website, and you're right. 3.5gr to 4.0gr for jacketed hollow points (XTP I believe) but no recipe for lead. Lead loads usually start .4 to .5gr less than copper, but it would be useful if I could find a recipe someone else has already formulated.
If I get one stuck in the barrel I can get it out and since these are very low velocity loads I'm not too worried about blowing myself up. Just wondered if anyone else had a recipe. Thanx for your input.
