I recently bought a box of Bayou's 150 grain 9mm SWC bullets. Anybody have any experience loading them? I'm interested mostly in comments about OAL, given the rather unconventional bullet profile. Seems to leave VERY little space in the case if one seats to a depth where the SCW shoulder is only a little bit outside the case mouth. I've found no published data for these bullets, and want to be safe working up a load. Thinking about using WSF and Silhouette. Any comments welcome.

I would think it would be perfectly fine to load longer as long as a dummy round plunks in your barrel and will hand cycle through your gun. Once you determine the proper oal for your gun you can compare the bullet length to a 147gr cast bullet and determine if the loads listed for that need to be adjusted based on seating depth

I've loaded and shot my first 100 of them, so far, love 'em! Using Power Pistol, 4.6gr, 1.100"oal. No problems, haven't chrono'd them yet. Accurate but once I chrono them, I might play around with amounts of powder, try some Bullseye or HP38. Oh yeah, it's a compressed load. No signs of over pressure.
