Hello All,

What is the best and cheaper places to buy 9MM and 45 ACP bullets nowadays? I'm looking for either plated or jacketed, not just lead.

I did order from Berry's Bullets, but it's need like 8 months now and just wanted to see what is out there now.

Thanks.

Thanks Walkalong...

Can i ask you a question? What is your favorite #1 and #2 bullets for plated or jacketed from your list?

Montana Gold 9mm bullets are jacketed. If you buy them buy the case they are as cheap as lead bullets and cheaper than most plated bullets. Case of 4000 9mm 115 gr FMJ is $298 shipped. IDPA, USPSA competitors shoot a BAZILLION Montana Gold bullets.

I've loaded and shot 1,500 of the Rocky Mountain Reloading 230g RN without issue. They are awfully expensive for a plated bullet though. I'm going to try Zero FMJ next.

My #1 choice is 200g SWC, without a doubt. I've tried 'em from a half dozen places and honestly they all shot the same....extremely well. Missouri has good prices on 'em.

all my bullets for 9 and 45 are either plated Berry Bullets from Powder Valley (always order by 2000 bullets so you pay $13 shipping for 2 boxes) or lead from MBC

The MG and Zero bullets are quality bullets used by many competitors as "Waldog" said.

Berry's 124gr HBRN bullets are fairly new from Berry's. They really shoot well (and load easily at any saami oal) in my pistol and many others who have posted in several forums.

TJCONEVERA is my goto for pistol bullets. Have shoot many of them and they shoot very well.

Precision Delta for FMJ. Shipping in the SE is one week, good prices.

Have you checked the prices of the plated bullets at RMR lately? I lowered the prices a few months ago. Are they not competitive? Just curious cause I don't want to lose any customers to someone else just because they are a dollar or two cheaper. Be sure to ask me if I can match or beat someone's prices before you go somewhere else. I may not be able to match all prices, but I think I can most of the time.

TJCONEVERA has 9mm xtreme plated bullets, 115 grain round nose, $79/1000 shipped. That's tough to beat anywhere. They're 230 grain 45 bullets are around $120 shipped, I believe.

That's awesome! Jake, you are a good man as the two bullets may not be of the same manufacture and quality.

BTW, do you have plans on getting any more 45ACP bullets in the near future? I am gearing up to do some 45ACP comparison load testing.

Also, I realize that I can order in the quantities down to 250, but if I asked, could you do a sample box of, say 500 bullets with 100 of each bullet type?

Yeah I can do that.

Also, the plated bullets I have been getting lately are x-treme. I took some pictures of them and they look pretty much identical to the powerbond. From what I have been told, the guys that own x-treme and the guys that own powerbond used to work together but have parted ways. Kind of makes me wonder if they use the same type of equipment. I know that both companies extrude their own wire. Anyone ever compare the two?

I want to get more 45, but the .45 market is so competitive that it is hard to actually buy them at a price that I can make money on them.
