No deer this time around but did have a awesome experience with a large group of pigs that stormed my ground blind. This was the largest in the group and she busted me switching from rifle to pistols. First shot was fast running away and the second was center mass. Total time from first shot to death squeal was about 10 seconds and she ran 20 yards.

Bullet penetrate on the first shot was all the way to stomach cavity. Second shot didn't pass threw. This showed me that a good bullet at close in pistol range is lethal and humane. On the plus side if I would have used my 270 with the same shot I would have blasted the hams.

Time to practice more today because varmint season has started for me. I will set up the dot for a 50 yard zero and practice out to 100 for coyotes.

Good hunting.

No. Not only no but uh-uh. I don' wanna haf ta read about man's inhumanity to piggies if the shot's not perfect. :( There's only so much "What if...?" that I can endure. It's been overdone, lately.

(But I'm happy for your success.)
