No questions nor concerns just thought you might be interested—

Found two DAG headstamp 9mm cases as I was going through cleaned 9mm from yesterday’s range trip. They have an odd “crown” in the primer pocket. No dimple or indentation on the reverse (interior of case) side.

Photo is best I can offer.

I must’ve shot them as one has residual “shadow” left by my Sharpie mark. And, I was only center fire pistol shooter in my area of range.

I plan to reload them per usual.

If the primer seats ok I load and shoot them. If it doesn't I'll hit it with my uniforming tool. I recently caused this in a few Norma cases that had the small flash holes when I deprimed them with my Lee Universal Depriming die.

Normally primer flash holes are punched from the outside in. So the flashing is inside the main chamber. I think someone punched the primer out with an over sized pin.
Actually no that’s not what happened here. Two cases identical with absolutely no damage deformation or anything to flash hole. There is a dome on both and nothing strange inside case.

To me it looks like an artifact of the process of punching the flash hole from the inside of the case into the flash hole. If it bothers use a primer pocket reamer to remove. If it allows a primer to seat normally I would load em up. Or scrap that headstamp case as 9 MM is plentiful, at least around here.
