I've used Dillon dies and Lee dies to reload 9mm and always experienced a small amount of wrinkling or bullet imaging at the top half of the case. It has always shot fine , just don't enjoy the appearance of the finished product as well as a factory finished 9MM . Any dies out there that don't cause this to happen, or is it more due to the bullet sizing? I usually use Berry's 124gr. or Precision Delta 115gr. bullets.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but I have an idea.

If the "problem" is that you can see the lower edge of the bullet "telegraphing" through the brass case, that's not a problem at all, and quite a good thing. That means you have very positive tension to hold the bullet at the right seating depth.

Yes , you understood. That post you referred me to is exactly the problem that I have always been unsure about.Thank you

jsab, I have made reference to cases that like they swallowed a bullet. I have two 45 ACP builds, both like new, over the counter, factory ammo. There is no way to sneak up on either pistol with reloads.

So here is what I die, I compared my reloads with factory, new, over the counter ammo. In appearance my cases liked like they swallowed the bullets.
to improve the appearance I sized my cases with an RCBS carbide die down to the bottom of the bulge. After removing the bulge my ammo looked like factory, new over the counter ammo.

Accuracy stayed the same and the two pistols did not require new ammo as long as the reloads looked new.

A very disciplined reloader has 5 45 ACPs, Her decided I could not load 45 ACP so he met me at the range with three of his 45s and boxes of reloads. It did not take long before he decided my 45 did not like his reloads, he found 3 other shooters of 45 ACP and had them try his ammo in their pistols, his ammo flew through their pistols.

I do not live far from the range so I boxed up some of his ammo, returned home, sized his cases with bulges, then returned. His ammo flew through my 45 ACP.

A reloader on another forum visits at least once a year, he brought his gages and loaded ammo, his ammo would drop into my gages, his ammo would not drop into my barrel.

And now? Contact Redding, ask if they have a profile die, something like a die that knows what a loaded round looks like.
