Who has an array of 9mm bullet molds? I looking for a few different types like 115,125,147 and possibly 160. I would like to try some 115-124 HP cast also. Should i go for .355 or .356? I will probably lubalox them. Do they have to be resized after cast and do they need a wax ring if lubaloxed?

I never heard of a 160 gr. bullet for a 9mm, the 147 gr. is max, and then you have to watch the compressing of the powder. I stay with 124-125 gr. cast and jacketed.

My all time favorite is the Lee TL -356-124-2R, great RN bullet, easy to lube with Lee Liquid Alox, works great in both the 38 and the 9mm, as this mould drops at .360. Grab the sizer for which one I want to load for!

my favorite is the lee 356-125-2R. Only thing i learned really quick you have to wait a little longer before you drop the bullet. As the ledge will crack if its not hard. Works very good with lee liquid alox. Looks very similar to the tumble lube bullet. Great shooting bullet though.

I have most of the .356-8" moulds that Lee makes that are suitable for the 9mm.

The .357-155RN is a round-nose mould intended for use in the .38Super, loaded to "major" power factor.

Mine with w/w aloy casts to about 160gr. I've loaded it to about 950fps from the 9mm Para. It will probably do what you desire it to do. What that is, I'm not exactly sure of.

My much prefered bullet is the .356-120TC in the 6-cavity version. I've gotten sub 1" 6-shot groups at 25yds, and 2.25" 6-shot groups at 50yds with it from my 5" and 6" S&W PPC-9's. I run it to 1,200fps from the 5" and approx. 1,240fps from the 6"bbl's, and around 1,170fps from a 4" 5906PC.Also shoots quite well from a 9mm XD compact........

I use w/w with approx 4oz of 95/5 tin/antimony lead-free solder added to 20lbs (to improve surface finish and weight consistency as well as hardness of 17bhn). I size to .357" as well......and use either NRA 50/50 or SPG lube. Both seem to work equally well, just whatever happens to be in the lube-sizer when I run a batch of 9's......

Works for all reasonable 9mm useage.

I haven't gotten nearly as good of results from any of the TL moulds, and the .356-125-2R is the only one that even comes close, but, mine has a too-small of lube groove to match the 120TC which has a much deeper and wider lube groove.

Honorable mention goes to the .357-105SWC. It shoots extreamly well from the 5906PC, and has won many matches for me. It also shoot a very clean .356" hole in the paper as well, for easier scoring...and the lighter recoil makes for much faster recoil recovery on the rapid fire strings.....

The 160 grain is doable from a .38 super mold. I just trying to tinker around with better penetration or maby try a 90 grain .380 bullet for explosive expansion. I know a 6 cavity 115-124 mold would be ideal for target or self defense. Call me crazy but i would like to load some 115 grain .380 auto. So no one makes hollow point 9mm molds?

I have sized down and loaded/shot the new Lee 158 gr RNFPL bullet. The one that looks like it is a cowboys style bullet with the flat point. I just ran it through my .356 die on my Star and loaded it up with some slower powder AA#5 and they shot good.

Should i size bullets after casting?

All depends Adam on what diameter they are as cast, and what your barrel slugs. Personally, I like to go "fat", and if the bullet will chamber easily, it will be just fine to shoot. In 9mm, I have gone as big as .359" but usually will shoot them sized .357" and .358". In my opinion, SIG and especially Beretta pistols like them on the fat side, where US barrels seem to run more on the tighter side, where .356" may well be the ideal diameter.

If you decide to go with Lee liquid ALOX, that's great, as it's good stuff (albeit a little messy/unsightly to purists) and works well with tumble lube and non tumble lube bullets.

Good luck!
