I believe they .380 is smaller in the case-head/rim, so I don't think it would work. The other cartridges mentioned are straight-walled rather than tapered. I'd recommend checking a second source, I'm not positive.
Eldon is correct they are only a few thousands different but the 380 will pass through the 9mm die without touching it and just decap the primer. This is the easiest way for me to sort the two types of brass when I size. I just run the 380 brass through again with the proper die after I separate it by feel.
The .380 is wrong in all dimentions for 9mm, it's only called 9mm kurtz(short) in Europe but everything is different from bullet diameter to shell holder size. I don't remember for sure but I think when tumbling with 9mmX19 that .380 brass will get stuck inside 9mmX19.
The inside of the case mouth is the same in both 9mm and 380 and they share the same primer but, thats where the similarities end. 9mm brass is slightly thicker and measures from .380 OS at the mouth to .390 at the head. 380 brass measures .375 OS at the mouth and .380 at the case head.
For this and reasons above, it could never work out.
