Hello guys, I reload 9mm, 38 super, 38 special, 357 mag, 45 auto and I was wondering if I ever get a 380, can I reload it with my 9mm dies? You know, kinda like I do with 38 special with 357 mag dies? Thank you very much, Kevin.

Sorry, but no can do. The .380 is sufficiently different from the 9mm that the dies are not interchangeable.

What press are you using?

Well I suppose that's good news. A set of Lee dies for .380 should set you back just a little over $20. I have never considered reloading .380, but maybe some others have that would like to chime in.

Given the cost of factory .380, if you have a pleasant gun to shoot it with, I'd say pick up a Lee 4 die set and go to town with it.

Thanks alot fellas!! Im looking for a Colt Mustang and just want to have my bases covered. I have to reload everything as high as all the factory ammo is. But I enjoy it. Kevin.

It is easy to reload. I had good luck with AA #2 when I was reloading for the .380.

I use a Lee turret press and Lee dies to reload .380. They work well for me. I reload 95gr and 100gr FMJ using 3.1gr of Hodgdon Universal powder. My Bersa likes the 95gr bullets while my Llama likes the 100gr.

I wouldn't bother with the factory crimp, you can already get a gnarly crimp with the Lee seating dies on the pistol cases.

"I am using all cheap Lee dies and press. Kevin."

Lee is not CHEAP! Lee equipment is economical, not cheap. ;)
