Folks, I'm working up a load for 124 grain 9mm Golden Sabres. I normally use Unique for 9mm, and would like to have plenty of oomph behind these projectiles. I have found inconsistent data between the Lee, Sierra, and other load data regarding charges for this combination. Does anyone have any experience with this load, and have any suggestions? I also discovered that I needed to seat these shorter than I would like, ( coal of 1.11)in order for them to work in my mags. I have loaded a few, and hope to shoot them in a few days. They are currently loaded with 5.2 grains of Unique. Thanks in advance!

The 124 Golden Sabers shoot good in my G19's and Kel-Tec carbine using Unique powder and CCI 500 primers. Factory 9MM 124 Golden Sabers have an overall length between 1.120 and 1.125". They vary because of the hollowpoint tip being uneven. In my Glock 19 I get 1050-1060 fps with 5.1 grains of Unique at an oal the same as factory. Your 5.2 grain charge should shoot well with no problems and be safe with any case or small pistol primer. I've read that the bore diameter and driving band reduces pressure and that it takes about two tenths of a grain more powder to equal the pressure and velocity of a copper jacketed bullet of the same weight?
