Is anyone using lead for reloading 9mm?If so is the problem with leading at 9mm velocities? What are some good loads for 124-125 gr lrn.

I shoot alot of Laser-Cast and Meister in everything with no leading.
My latest 9mm loads were with,

115 RN
4.4grs Universal Clays
(real soft shooting and clean)

115 RN
5.9grs AA5

Both loads shoot one ragged hole groups.
I use these loads for fun and range.
I've never used the 125s.

I shoot a lot of 125 gr cast LRN bullets . These loads work well in MY gun BUT, it is best to check with a manual because each gun is different. Although I get very little or no leading other guns may not shoot them as well.
4.5 grs Win 231
6 grs HS 6
6 grs AA 5
Even though cast bullets can be pushed pretty fast in some instances my advice is keep the velocities at moderate levels.

I've been shooting up a bunch of 135 grain RN I got cheap, they're Oregon Trails Laser-cast. I've been loading 3.0-3.3 grains of Titegroup under them. 3.3 is pretty snappy, 3.0 is nice and light. My daughter's been shooting a lot of 9mm lately and they're working fine for training ammo.

I've done some lead loads too.
I went as high as 5.4gr Win 231 with 125gr lead TC bullets in my Browning Hi-Power and Glock 17 with factory barrels, but it was, admittedly WAY too hot. I got a few blown primers in the Browning and blew a case head on the Glock that warmed my trigger finger a little, but the Glock didn't even hiccup, but fired the round and kept right on running. They didn't shoot worth a crap out of the Glock either. They were entering the target sideways leaving silouettes of the bullets in the target. I'd drop down to about 4.9gr if I were going to keep loading hot lead loads, but the 4.5 load listed above is probably the most sane choice.

They left no leading in the Browning, but there was a little bit in the Glock near the muzzle.

I buy my cast bullets from www.bonusbullets.com
Great products.

Just a quick question. Those Lazer cast bullets. How do they perform in a polygonal barrels. I really don't want to replace mine, and they are half the cost of West Coast Extremes. (45 bucks per 500 VS 26 bucks per 500)
