Upper Bucks, actually all of Bucks and Berks for that matter and the Lehigh Valley have gotten very expensive. Here in Carbon it's like the land that time forgot. Relatively low cost of living although a bit rough around the edges in places, in particular in the old anthracite fields in western Carbon. Believe it or not there are still a few active mines here but in my area it's actually really nice, we are about 15 miles east of the coal fields. And as the crow flies we are 100 miles west of NYC but a world of difference. The Lehigh runs right thrugh our township and the Appalachian Trail is 8 miles to the south.
