Looking for advice on a 9mm load for a Kel-Tec Sub-Rifle 2000 carbine with a 16" barrel.
I will most likely be using 125-gr hard cast lubed lead bullets or else a Rainier 125-gr plated bullet. I currently load 4.0 gr of Titegroup under those bullets for my pistols (this is the starting load and works fine in pistols for economical plinking loads) however in the blowback KT I have seen some fail to fully cycle problems I think, short stroking(I figure, low pressure). The bolt closes on a fresh round but the striker is not reset and I have to manually cycle the bolt to get it to fire.

Anyone have any ideas how much I should load these to for reliability and added punch from a long barrel? All my books show a maximum of 4" bbl length. Would a +P type load be better here? The maximum I have is 4.4 grains of Titegroup in a pistol from Hodgdon- should I just try that?

I have one of those keltec rifles in 9 too, and I use Bluedot behind 115 grain fmj.
I like Bluedot for it's slower burn , so you are getting more burn time down that longer barrel. In a pistol the rifle loads give a big blossom at the muzzle, so I just load them for the rifle.
I am using 8.3 grains of Bluedot, winchester small pistol standard primers, 115 grain fmj pills, and mostly Remington brass.
This works good for me, I would recommend starting around 7.5 grains of Bluedot and working up from there. I have seen no problems when using this load in my Keltec carbine.
Although some brands of brass get beaten up sooner than others.
Sorry, I have not ever worked with titegroup for reloading, I suspect it is a fast burning powder, and that may not be what you want pushing your slugs down a long barrel.

My favorite load for that gun is 5.1grs WIN 231, CCI 500 primer, range brass and 115gr Extreme plated bullet. Accurate and cycles well in the sub 2000.

In 10,000 rounds I have broken two bolt handles with this load but I don't know if it's because the load ( chrony at 1150-1200fps, no signs of pressure ) or a weak point in the design of the gun. The factory sends me a new one under warranty whenever I call them and tell them I broke another without haveing to send the gun back to them.
