9mm rifle on the cheap

Yeah, when it comes to getting the best accuracy with the shotgun adapters, you have to have front and rear sights. A bead just doens't cut it. That's why most of the videos you'll see of people shooting with adapters they're using a scope or red dot.

Problem is most of the break action shotguns are of the more "traditional" design making scope mounting difficult. The defense orientated Mossberg and Stoeger break action shotguns have a scope mount on the guns themselves, but they are much more than $400.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'll have to come up with something else, the cost of investing in another caliber like 357/38 isn't worth it to me and semi auto just wasn't what I was looking for either.

Got a swell deal on 1000rnds of 9mm and had an itch to shoot it in a rifle, thanks y'all!

My local shop I can get the hi point out the door for $260.00 which I thought was a great price considering everyone else around is asking $325 or more plus tax so I think I'll have him order me one

I'm not sure about carbine, but on c9 all you have to do is take 2 screws out of right grip take it off and lift longer bar in about center out and put grip back on you now have no magazine safety disconnect, I would bet carbine would be same it takes all of 5 min. To do.

Just bought a Hi-Point 995ts and took it to the range yesterday. Great shooter and flawless in 350 rounds. Definitely feels like a more expensive gun. The new Redball 20 round mags ran perfect. They are Hi-Point approved and sold on their site and other retailers.

Yep the Mag disconnect is easy to remove. Done it on all my Hi Point pistols. CF380, C9, 40, and 45. If you send it back for service they will put one back in though.:banghead:

No mag disconnect on the 995ts. Paid $246 with no tax and free shipping. FFL was $20 for $266 total. Fantastic price on a gun worth 2x the price. It also has a last round bolt hold open that most 9mm carbines don't have.

I would hunt up a Remington 788 in 222, replace barrel with 9MM 24" twist rate and mount a handgun scope on the barrel forward of receiver with a Weaver 60A one piece base. If you wanted a heavier barrel (.800 diameter) you could mount a scope with a Weaver 92A base.

Mount handgun scope about 8" forward of receiver.

I have a 1903A3 in 45 ACP with 26" Douglas barrel and utilizes M1911 mags.
