9mm vs .38 Spl re: revolver recoil

My Lcr9 came in and I went to shoot with a buddy who has the LCR in 357 to shoot. Recoil felt very similar to 38... Too bad the LCR9 had to go back to ruger for repairs but that's another story.

I've both a LCR .38 spl, and a LCR 9mm.

Recoil in the 9mm is noticeably sharper. The .38 is a bit lighter, but it's recoil has less impulse into my hand.

I have not tried any .38+P loads to compare.
