Which would you have if you could only have one pistol for all around defense? Especially for concealed carry? I would prefer the one with best reliability followed by ergonomics and then best trigger. So far the pps gets a slight nod because it's a little bigger.

Kel Tec PF9
Walther/S&W pps
Kahr PM9

Since I own only the PM9, that's how I voted. Mine is very reliable, in that I had a couple rounds not feed after about 1200 rounds. I replaced the recoil spring and was good to go. The PPS has the backstrap safety/decocker thing which I'm not keen on, though by all accounts it is a fine weapon. Both the Kahr and Walther outclass the KT, yet it has a strong following and is also respected as a solid carry, if a bit rough.

This is a tough one for me.
I owned a PPS 9mm for a while and sold it cheaply to my mom, I wish i would have kept it as i now want another micro 9mm.
I carried the PPS in my back pocket with a leather cover/half holster i made that concealed it great. But now im starting over as i cant ask my mom to sell me the PPS back.

Im looking at the PM9 mostly, The 709 if im on a budget but id have to compare them side by side for myself as just looking at specs don't tell me everything.

Id much rather have a .380 sized Sig P238 which i also had. I trust the .380 round now once i shot it and i loved the P238. But my issue is ammo costs as i like to shoot my guns. And buying small rounds like the .380 that cost as much as my .45acp would make me not want to shoot it.
So i don't blame you on trying to find the right small 9mm.

If all three were laid in front of me, And even a Sig P238 added also im pretty sure id pick the PM9. I just hope i had enough cash. lol

I conceal a G17 or G22 (full-size Glock) without any trouble.

Its a matter of wardrobe choice.
No matter WHAT gun you chose, you will need to adjust your wardrobe to conceal it effectively and comfortably.

The "concealability" differences between the three guns you list is insignificant.
With the wrong clothes, or the wrong holster, you will not be happy with any of them.

Any of those guns will probably serve you well.

I have smaller guns than the full-size Glocks.
But, by the time I've dressed properly for carrying a gun, its just as easy to carry the Glock.

I just bought a Sccy CPX-2. Feels great in the hand, trigger is ok and recoil is low. It is very reliable with no failures in 200 rounds of FMJ and JHP. For only 277 shiped and a lifetime warranty i dont think you can beat it. Also looks better than Kel Tec crap! That being said, if you have the money I'd go with the PPS as it is a much nicer gun. Just my 2cents!

i conceal an SR9 , i like to have 17+ rounds in my gun cuz ya never know what could happen. I dont feel comfortable carrying less then 12 rounds in any gun- in a SD scenario there is no way you can make all the shots count so a little extra bullets is handy.

Since you're considering a Kahr then why not consider the Kahr MK40? More power and still a damn small pistol.

I like it very much. I was (still do sometimes) carrying an H&K P2000SK and the CPX-2 is much easier to carry. Sccy had a fairly bad reputation for the CPX-1 with the safety so close to the thumb and many other issues. With the CPX-2 there is no saftey and all other issues were fixed plus the frame is nicer as is the slide. I have medium sized hands and I can fit all three fingers on the grip comfortably with the pinky extension. Trigger feels like the kel tecs or any other double action so not great but not to bad. All in all love how it feels in my hand and like the way it shoots. Its not a glock, kahr, or walther but its less than half the price and almost as good.
