I've been reading up on weapon retention tactics and suddenly it occurred to me that I might actually have an advantage as a southpaw using a right handed holster.
My logic is that if I kept my CCW in a right hand holster, and practiced draw and handling from that side, then I might actually have an advantage if (God forbid) I was ever in a weapon retention situation because I’d be fending off the bad guy with my left (stronger) hand.
I already have the advantage of having spent a lot of effort learning handle and shoot with either hand.
Wow, if I’m right I may cause a breakthrough in left side holsters for all you “righties” out there!
