We wanted a "secular" society and we got one. Life is cheap. Kill the mofo for his iPod or his shoes. And we've plenty of cheap punks to take advantage of that.

that kill today come from a broad range of family backgrounds. no longer are the old stereotypes/profiles safe.

Broad range of family backgrounds? You sure you want to bet the farm on that? The problem isn't the occasional anecdotal case of a troubled kid who goes ballistic, it's organized, tribal mayhem.

There are certain constants, but it comes back to VALUES--or, rather, the lack of values.

in trouble nowadays come from a variety of backgrounds. I work with the real bad ones and it would surprise you the backgrounds they come from.The biggest differnce i find is if mommy and daddy got money you get a good lawyer a therapist and walk. No cash you do time. .Often for smaller crimes.
My lil bro and i went to different schools same hood. He went to catholic school i went public. Our joke was my buds sold pot got a pd went to boysvillage.His buds sold coke maybe a lil date rape ,get high dollar lawyer, pay off folks get community service.And for reference when i talk bad kids i mean 12 year olds that killed folks and 15 year olds with 2 kids.

No, the courts in numerous rulings have held that the Police have no legal duty to protect the individual, that their duty is to protect society as a whole.
