A Day at the Range With 22 MAG

I picked up a few bricks of Bitter Root Valley before 2008 for $70/500. I have quite a bit left and while not the most accurate it works pretty well in my rifle. I pick some up if I am out and see it on the shelf. I don't find it as often as I would like but I am good to go for a while.

I have the Marlin 25MN in .22WMR, and the Marlin 17V in .17HMR. The .17 is the tighter shooting of the two, by a small margin. But the .22WMR gets more range time.
I refinished both stocks identically, did a trigger job on both, and have identical Bushnell 4-12X40AO scopes on both. Minimises the learning curve. They can use the same magazines too, so I make very sure what is loaded before shooting!!

I too resisted the .17. I like my Henry Golden Boy 22 Mag. It is dead nuts accurate with CCI Maxi Mag using iron sights. I am thinking about another Golden Boy in 22lr but also tempted to get a S&W AR in 22lr.....decisions, decisions :D
