I copied this from Long Range Dot Com

"WCRC will host a 2x1000 long range match NOV 26th on AEDC, Tullahoma TN. Registration is 9AM CST, first round at 10AM CST. Match fees for the day are $15. Conventional Prone will be shot on LR targets. F class will shoot the LRF centers.

If you have any questions about the match, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

How did the competition go?

Also, do civilians have regular access to the range? I'd love to take a trip up there sometime to work out a long range load for my rifle.

The match went pretty well. Weather was pleasant, wind was a little fluky. There were only 14 shooters, I guess some of the regulars were still in Thanksgiving vs in-law mode or watching millionaires kick a ball around.

There is a club headquartered around there someplace that has access to the range most times that the Tennessee National Guard is not using it; but apparently only for the multi-purpose range up to maybe a hundred yards. I don't know details, I am too far away for that to be of interest.

The conventional rifle range 200-1000 yards is open only for scheduled matches, of which there will only be six or seven next year; because the TNG is returning from overseas and will be getting back into a training program.
I don't think the clubs are allowed on a range if the NG is using one even nearby.

The sight-in range and the popup range are for National Guard only.

Where, in N. Alabama or S. Tennessee (Manchester, Tullahoma, Chattanooga, et al) is there a long distance range (200+ yards)? The only one I'm aware of is The Blue and Grey Club, located just south of Huntsville on the north side of the Tennessee river, and very close to Guntersville Dam.
