Hi
I have posted this on another site as well, I am seeking opinions on if this is a good deal.
My neighbor wants to sell me his Colt Frontier six shooter. I talked to Colt mfg and they said the SN indicates it is a 1897 year. I also took it to Collectors firearms and was told that it was very tight and sound, but had been re-nickeled. The grips were replaced with fake stag, but I plan to chase down some 1st generation rubber girps for it. Of course they wanted to buy it from me for $500.00, I said no thanks and left. I am attaching a picture. My neighbor is a good friend and needs the money, and is throwing in 2 boxes of 44-40 ammo, and a drop down holster rig all for $1000.00. He told me he got in 1952 from a collector. I realize that it is re nickeled and that hurts the value, but the gun feels great. You can still read the "Frontier Six Shooter". Sorry for the slightly blurred picture. If you just tell me its a fair deal, I am gonna help out my neighbor.
