So i actually ended up bringing a few more knives that i really needed on deployment with me but i figured i will give some thoughts on the ones ive used the most.

SOG Pentagon Elite 1- this knife is on me all day every day on the ship i have cut line pried open paint cans and cut the metal seals off ammo cans for everything from 9mm to 76mm and this knife has held up well! it keeps its edge well and has only minor problems with rust (keep in mind i am in the middle of the ocean High humidity and salt) i did have problems with the screws on the pocket clip coming loose but some locktite fixed that

SOG Seal Pup- This is the knife that spends the majority of my time on my Gunbelt when i am standing armed watches ive had no problems with corrosion or keeping it sharp (in fact i cut through 2 roughly 3 inch sets of mooring lines with kevlar strands ) to stop damage occuring to our ship in a storm

K-BAR TDI - I have the all seretaed model and carry this knife when I stand duty armorer and wear a shoulder holster instead of my normal gunbelt cant say much other than the foreign military guys have loved it so far

Leatherman MUT- bought this before deployment and have used it every day! i love it it was a little bulky to start with but i would not go on deployment without it its been used on crew served weapons for the most part and the bronze carbon scraper was a lifesaver

Great reviews of use of the knives! Far more useful than, "It's soooo purty!".

Stay safe out there.

The TDIs are growing on me. At first i thought, eh, but the more i see them and read reviews, the more they make sense.

I've been on the fence regarding the Seal pup.

Thanks for your reviews.

I have been really impressed with the SEAL pup we had some SWIC Guys and a few seal team 1 members on board earlier this deployment and i saw a few of them with them to and it was definitely a good thing i had mine to cut the mooring lines when i did because we were getting beat up pretty good in rough seas anchored out to a barge....we already had a small hole punched in the side when i got the order to cut them free and another guy had already tried with a little folding knife and was going way to slow!
