I was explained that it is "revolver" 'cos "daddy, couldn't you see the cylinder with grooves?"
After all, my lesons were not lost. Now i have re-explain the carridge case function, but you know, that's a pleasure only father can afford ;)

Glad to see they're taking after the 'ol папа , there Max!:) Mine design guns out of Legos. (My 12 year old does a mean StG44.)

Look at the size of those cartridges! Kid must be a big-bore fan. Look out, you'll be shelling out for .45-70 and .50 Beowulf in no time!

Well, out of my small collection of dummy ammo he was most impressed by .458 SOCOM round and 23mm AA gun round. So i guess you right, somehow ;)

The sad thing is had the kid drawn that in school the administration would have a big meeting on how long to suspend him and what couselor to send him to and which button child services is on speed dial. He must be saved from this evil horrible house of death!

Ditto...Sad, but true.

BTW, careful with that thing, you'll put your eye out with it!

Not necessarily. Max is in Russia, and here's what they teach teenagers in Russian schools:

So maybe Max is just giving Dimitry a great head start!:)

Well, entropy beat me on that, and down here in Russia we are far from the PC level typical for some parts of EU or US.
The NVP (beginner's Military training course of my scholloboy years) is long witheld from school programs here, but nobody will cry wolf over the gun drawn in the boy's notebook; at least, there will be no difference if he painted car, gun or pokemon (but, in the last case, I will cry wolf and take action).
Of caus there could be some personal issues with "liberal" types among teachers, but no general policy along such 'PC' lines, thanks God!

Lucky you. My daughter is a 35-year-old California Clintonista who believes hunting should be outlawed and all civilian owned guns confiscated and destroyed. Of course, like many of these hypocritical anti-gun folks her beliefs weren't strong enough to keep her from owning a pistol for protection while living in a rough section of Atlanta while going to school. Now that she's in a million-dollar condo at Lake Tahoe guns are evil and nobody but the police and army need them. Where did I go wrong?
