A good 10mm

I had a Glock 20, but I traded it for a Glock 29. I also had a Witness, but I was less than impressed with it, so I traded it as well. Is there a good 10mm out there anywhere? The 20 and Witness were too fat for my hand. I am hoping someone makes a good 10mm in the future that I can afford.

If the problem is fat grips, a single-stack 10mm like a S&W 10xx series or Dan Wesson Razorback might be what you are looking for.

The Razorback is very nice and accurate. If you want to sping some cash Les Baer will make you one up. If you want more original look for an old colt Delta or the like.

Frankly I never had a problem with the G20 or my Witness, but that is just me. I do like my Razorback and my Baer 10mm's better though.

S&W 10mms are narrower, single-stack pistols. You can basically pick a factory grip to fit your hand: one with a staight-back, an arch, or an arched one with a "palm-swell."

Hogue also makes a soft rubber arched grip that fits certain 10mm models, like that 1006, 1066 & 1086. Some Smith 10mm owners prefer the Hogue grips to the factory offerings.

And, BTW, the S&W 10mms are great pistols.

My 1076 was suprisingly reliable. Not what i had come to expect from a
S&W semi-auto. The gun was quite heavy, but also very accurate.


I just prefer the CZ design to any other pistol. The 10MM Witness is
a great gun if your hands are big enough.

Take a look at the Colt Delta Elite 10mm.

Delta Gold Cup Elites are more expensive.

Smith 10XX models. Relatively inexpensive, reliable, accurate, built like tanks.

Dan Wesson Razorback: forged frame and slide, Series 70 ( ), 1911 aesthetics and ergonomics, match accuracy.

You can convert just about any .40 S&W 1911 into a 10mm.

Have a smith rechamber the barrel, get a heavier spring (22# seems to be the most common), and if you wanna go all the way use the EGW firing pin stop to help with the timing.
