I went to the local wal-Mart about 11:00 this morning and not expecting to see any ammo , I went to the sporting goods section. Low and behold there were about ten 100 round boxes of Winchester 45 ACP in the case. I got myself three for $41.00 a box . It felt good walking around Wal-Mart with 300 rounds of 45 in tow !

Same happened to me yesterday. I had traveled 75 miles from home to visit my sister in the hospital and there was a Wal Marx a mile from the hospital (and an Academy). I hit both places and the Wal Mart had the Winchester white box in the cabinet ... about 18 boxes of the 100 rd value packs. 12 went to 4 purchasers at the time the clerk unlocked the cabinet. I saw her unlocking it again as I was leaving but I think the guy was only buying 1-100rd box.

Academy had nothing. This was all around mid-day.

Persistence pays off ... 3 weeks ago on an afternoon trip to my local Wallyworld I found a 1,000 rd value pack of .22LR (Winchester) and 2 - 100 rd packs of .223 Federal 55gr. FMJ. The kids shot about 300 rounds of the .22 when we got home.

I am in a little hot water over the $130 bucks for the .45acp.

I have to hop on the good morning band wagon also.
I was finally able to complete my AR today.
Got the upper, quad rail, rail covers, bcg, and charging handle this morning.

Ive been waiting since Dec 28th to complete it!

Woot!

i have had good luck at walmarts, they just don't happen often enough. i score ammo about once, maybe twice a month there. but i have to say moon, on those rare occasions, i may have a sack of ammo weighing me down, but i am walking tall outta the store!

I've picked up about 200 rds of 7.62 x 39 from Wally in the last few weeks. 3 boxes at a time per their rules. I wasn't shopping for it, just checked while I was there.

And, I folded 2 AK Builder flats this morning. Good day.

It was a good morning. I picked up a completed lower from a friend. (hey, if BHO keeps claiming 40% of the guns purchased are done so via the gun show loop hole, I certainly don't want to disappoint him.)

The PlumCrazy lower will eventually get married to my Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel upper....just not sure what year they will ship it. :(

Cabelas and Bass Pro had no ammo except .327 fed, .32 acp and a little .380. No 9mm, 40, 45, .357, .44 mag not even 10mm. No .22 LR just .17 and .22 mag

Interestingly 20 and 30 AR mags at both. Promag, plastic junk etc. and a couple of FN steel.

I found small rifle, small rifle magnum, and small pistol CCI primers in stock for $34 per thousand so I got a case of each. Also got a nib FNS-40 with 3 mags for $425.

Went to my local wally world the other day with the wife to get a few things,I told her that I was going to go to the sporting good dept. to see what they had, asked if they had any .223 got three boxes of Tula, asked if any MSRs came 45 min later walked out with a brand new Colt Le 6920 with Magpul furniture in FDE it was a very good day

Walmart here in Kentucky. The shelves were empty except for uncommon stuff, .410 Judge and .243 . We had to wait until they unloaded the truck before were able to get some ammo. I was third in line I was able to get one box of 45 acp, and that was it for the hand gun ammo. The two people ahead of me each got 3 boxes of 9mm. The rest of the people in line were SOL.
