Got a little Chritmas present from my sweety- an F.Dusek Duo 6.35mm (.25 ACP.) Made in 1944 under the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia, it's a very nice little pistol. While it is a near-copy of a Colt 1908 Vest Pocket it doesn't give up a thing to Colt in terms of build-quality. It does give up the grip-safety, which I don't consider any real loss. Despite it's tiny size it doesn't pinch or bit anywhere, and it a lot of fun to shoot despite having only a simple groovwe on top of the slide for a sight.
On the right is 'aimed' fire at three yards. On the left is one shot/second at seven yards. It's not going to win any bullseye matches, but not bad given the beyond-rudimentary sights. I think with proper sights it would actually be pretty accurate! Production of these guns began in 1937, and in 1948 when the factory was nationalized it became the CZ Duo. The guns remained in production for about fifty years.
