CBS channel 11 Anchorage, posted the results of a poll they took. The Question was. "Did the 1994-2004 Assault weapons ban negatively affect you? The result was 97% Yes to 3% No.
Also the Alaska State House Unanimously passed the Anti Gun Licensing Bill, House Joint Resolution, (HJR17) in responce to H.R. 45.
Telling Washington, they can stick that in there pipe and smoke it!!:)
I LOVE THIS PLACE !

SC is similar

when I bought my first two pistols (awhile back) I callled to "register" my .22 revolver since it was a FTF purchase from an individual. When I called SLED (regulatory services), the guy asked why I would want to register my firearm, "I thought it was the law", I replied. The guy went into detail explaining why I wouldn't want to register, nor was I supposed to by SC law. It was my first experience with a person setting me straight on these things and actually got me to investigate the laws on 2a and get interested in it's protection. I really wish I knew that guy's name. I really wish we had more folks like that guy in a government position willing to set people straight on the possible abuses of said agencies.

Kudos to Alaska for reminding us all of States' Rights, we don't see a lot of that from those States at the Federal trough.

I'm always amused when one or another of my relatives in Apartheid Chicago asks me if my guns are "registered". I always reply, "No, and I wouldn't live any place where they'd have to be."
