I bought them mainly for kids to shoot but found gran' pa kind of likes playing with them too. The supposed to be square notch at the rear of the top strap groove was a little "off' with each. One was pretty good but had a little angle on the right side and the other was so narrow light could not be seen on either side of the front sight and both had a shiny finish on the front causing glare problems.

Just a little work with a needle file fixed one and the other took a bit longer to remove the amount of material needed. Krylon flat back spray paint applied with a toothpick was applied to the shiny zamak exposed on the rear and to the edge of the front sights. After the paint flashed off a quick trip out into the sunlight showed a much better sight picture with no glare.

Upon showing my wife what I did I lost one of the guns. She asked if the long barreled one was her gun and of course I agreed it was. I also asked why she chose it. I got the standard female answer for about anything, "because I like the way it looks". :)

I removed the paint from the rear sight notch of my Heritage Rough Rider to get a sharper sight picture and "temporarily" blackened the inside of the notch with a black laundry marker (letting it dry between coats). With a clear sight picture it's as accurate at 25 yards off the bench as my Ruger MkII.
