Below is an image that I created in Adobe Illustrator while learning how to use the Mesh tool. The final image is based off of a photograph I took last year. I've attached a copy of the photo, a screen cap of the underlying mesh, and the final product.
I thought some of you guys might enjoy the result.

The original Illustrator file on my hard drive is completely vector, and therefor resolution independent, meaning it can be scaled to any size without it looking bad or becoming grainy/pixelated.
