A lucky ammo day

So I am in the office and coworker of mine says she has some ammo she has that she wants to get rid of. So I say hey I always need ammo, well more want than need. So she says she will bring it in the next day.

To my absolute surprise she brings me

1000 rounds of .38 special that she bought from turners in bags of 500. I pulled a few bullets because some of the brass said +p and +p+ and wanted to be sure. I plulled about 5 rounds and All came out at 125 grain bullets with 4.7 grains of the same powder so they are all the same just different brass.

200 rounds of new in the box ranger SXT 9mm

250 rounds of black talon 9mm

one factory box of .38 special winchester +p, and one factory box of winchester .38 special +p+.

four boxes of 12 ga dove and quail loads.

Cost = 0$ Sometimes you just get lucky.

P.S is either the +p or +p+ safe to shoot in my model 14 S&W 38 special revolver?

i have gotten 100rds of wwb from a guy 9mm
about 65rds of old winshester .40 ammo, and a few talons from an x puertorican cop.

any free ammo is good ammo!

Oh, and it sounds like this lady wants you to do a lot more than just take some ammo off your hands...unless it's like her ex-husbands or something and she's afraid to throw it away.

That's an great deal! Beats my two best ammo deals by a long shot!

Back in the 80's a guy sold me a "bunch of old military ammo" for $75. Turned out to be about 2,000 rounds of Lake City Match .30-06 and 2500 rounds of mostly Lake City Match .308 with a few cans of loose assorted match .308 thrown in.

A few years back a friend of mine had a family member who was moving and wanted to sell off some stuff. I bought 1000 rounds of 9mm WWB plinking ammo and 1000 rounds of Black Talon for $200. Realizing Black Talon was all hype, I sold it off at market price at a gun show, made a nice chunk of money on the deal and went on to shoot up the plinking ammo, myself.

That's funny that you both said this. She is a deputy and bought tons of ammo to practice with before she went to patrol. Well her patrol time is over for now and she said it was just stitting here and needed to get rid of it.
