Hi,

Can anyone tell me info on Corbon custom
Made ammo ? The box is plain white with
Blue labels and it reads custom built ammo
By corbon. I purchased 250 rounds in 45acp
Two 50 rounds boxes in 185+p ,one 50 round box
Plus p 200 grain, two boxes of plus P
230 grain. Boxes are stamped 1991 and 1993 range.
All of them are factory sealed. I purchased
Them cheap i guess today in the world of ammo prices.

Just curious
If anyone has info on the ammo / if they
Had a custom line back in the day

I have a box of Cor Bon 444 Marlin sitting here. As far as I know all their boxes are labeled "Custom Made in The USA". Their ammunition is generally loaded on the hot side. For example this box is labeled 444 Marlin 280 Grain Bonded Velocity 2200 FPS. In comparison a maximum load for this cartridge using a 265 Jacketed Soft Point pushes the bullet at about 2077 FPS. You know when you shoot their stuff. I have also shot their 45 LC loads and while I never chronographed the stuff it definitely feels hotter than other factory loadings.

The "Custom Made" thing is more a matter of advertising in my opinion. It is just hotter commercial ammunition than other brands with good bullet offerings.

Just My Take
Ron
