I was thinking about picking up a cosmetically challenged 1100 from a pawn shop or from the web, hopefully in the neighborhood of 250-300, putting a 30" Hastings high rib trap barrel on it, a Choate mark 5 conventional stock (butt pad shims), Choate fore end to match, building the cheek piece up with epoxy, and then finishing off with a paint job. Something in the metallic red and metallic black flavor, with some textured paint on the grip.
Currently I shoot around 21 or so with my 1100 with field rib 28" mod barrel, walmart ammo, and 13" LOP stock. I really enjoy trap, thus the desire to have a dedicated gun for it.
Thoughts? Concerns for my sanity? Thanks.
