Texas, baby!
just went into collector's firearms today. a very nice black walnut 99 marlin, but more like a glenfield, in that the wood has some nice design, and pressings cut into it. plus a small scope. price,.... 139!!!! and since it is used, you can deff talk them down.
for craps and giggles, there is also a CZ american 527 carbine, old school, all Czech made, cyrillic markings, no Kansas City stenciling anywhere, front and rear sites, with giant hooded front. Best of all? TIGER STRIPE walnut wood, absolutely beautiful. Cost? how about 700!
If you ever wanted a boltie in 762.39 , this is the only one to get. I have shot many rifles in this cal, and accuracy is moa or better, even with the crappiest of ammo. It will love the brown bear hollow points , I bet.
