It's a 12BVSS .308 with the AccuTrigger and apparently the even newer Phoenix magazine system. Sitting on top is a Ken Farrell 20MOA base, Burris Signature Zee Rings, and a Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40mm.

Excuse the crappy groups, I'm not too experienced in distance shooting. I hope to understand better someday. All I know is the rifle seems to be more capable than I.

Oh yeah, it was shooting 175gr XM118LR at ~2580fps and was supported by a Harris bipod and a sandbag at the rear. 109 yards, wind only noticeable by the kicked up dust blowing left one minute, right another minute. Don't even ask me about temperature, elevation, slope, barometric pressure, or whether the tide was coming in or going out

Nice rifle! How much does it weigh, with the laminated stock, heavy barrel, and big scope?

I suspect the rifle is capable of groups you could cover with your thumb nail

Suggestion....take up reloading (adds tons to the fun factor and maybe accuracy)

lots of trigger time and double up on ear protection (reduces flinch if that's a problem at all)

I have no idea how much it weighs, but I got rid of my free weights and now I benchpress this bad boy


I would like to reload, but I don't think it's practical in my apartment. That a lot of cubic feet to invest in a press, tumbler, cleaners, lubes, tools, gauges, dies, etc...

Would it be better to shoot factory ammo and learn the rifle and effects of wind, distance, temperature, etc.. before getting into reloading?
