This is the pretty little blonde that rode back home on my knee yesterday... Seems to like the Federal 36 grain Bulk pack stuff. It was keyholing CCI 40 grain standard velocity. Going to order the .22 Magnum cylinder for it later and see what she'll do with some of the CCI .22WMR I have stowed away.

Wasn't able to get in any range time today. Was busy running around the surrounding counties...Stopped in at a regional gun shop and was able to pick up 1 thousand rounds of CCI Mini-Mag ...Not much of anything else though. Was surprised they had that on the shelf. No .357 Magnum or .38 Special and the .380 ACP that was on offer was a buck a round. also zero .410 buckshot same with 20 gauge. They had 12 gauge '00' but wasn't in the market for any.

Update: Last night before I went to bed I gave the new gal a quick bore snaking after a shot of CLP into the forcing cone. Today I went out and loaded up three of the remaining loose 40 Grain CCI standard velocity rounds and after pulling two shots off target (haven't really been shooting handguns much over the last few years) the third found it's mark straight on. No keyhole. I then followed up with six of the Federal 36 grain bulk pack that I had brought out. Again I pulled two shots to the left and off target ( just an empty one gallon zip lock bag container). I took my time and put the remaining 4 shots on target with no key holes showing. I then went back inside and cleaned the revolver with some CLP the bore snake and a few paper towels. Used an old toothbrush to get into the nooks of the frame and she's now very clean and ready to go for the next shooting session. Me thinks Heritage might be using some very dirty ammo...or the guy in charge of test firing really enjoys his work.

Glad to hear that it's shaping up nicely for you. Although HRRs get a lot of crap because they are the cheapest SA 22s on the market, I feel they are a great value.
Alot of " bang for your buck".

Well I started out with an HRR in my youth. Shot the thing until it wouldn't work anymore...I sold it to a friend in 2004 for a parts/ project gun. I'm going to take more care of this one and not be nearly as rough to it.

I bought my first HRR in about 1993. It still goes bang every time. I've picked up 3 more in different configurations since then.
I realize they are not heirloom quality but my grandkids love them and the memories are the same regardless of the roll mark on the barrel. JMHO.
