The Product of Despair - by T. Benabe

Somebody please take a national poll to see how many Americans would dance in the street and applaud if the terrorists were somehow able to get a device into Washington DC and nuke the capitol while congress was in session. See how Americans feel. I dare you.

War on drugs and terrorism? Create a whole new division of redundant government (Dept. of Homeland Security ) and commit further billions of dollars in a measure to create an authoritarian national ID/passport thats going to infringe on the privacy rights of every aspect of American life, but spend nothing on increasing the border patrol.

Our borders are unprotected and as for the drug cartels, its business as usual. You dont see their doors being kicked down in the middle of the night. Or an episode of COPS hauling away celebrities as a result of a special "Hollywood addition". Say nothing of how illegal immigration is destroying our healthcare and educational system.

Healthcare! Oh wouldn't it be nice if all Americans had healthcare first before we spent a dime on aid to foreign countries who for the most part hate us no matter what we do.

Identity theft? Call your credit card company to find out about your account info and speak to someone in Bangladesh, brazil...........your guess is as good as mine.

Taxes.........drop dead and they get half. And the perpetual enslavement created by property tax. The IRS will send men with guns to collect you know so be nice. Pay........or GET ON YOUR KNEES! (nuff said).

Need a job? Unless your in the porn industry, be prepared to go overseas because much of what is left of American industry has abandoned the American worker. Has abandoned America.

Eat an apple and dont mind the waxy toxic substances found on its surface. American produce has taken a back seat to fruits and vegetables grown south of the border. Free from much of what the FDA sees fit to digest.

The good news is that the fight to cure cancer is still underway.......since the 30's. Yet despite tens of billions of dollars in research, actual cures have yet to surface. Millions dead (we miss you Brian) and dying. And an entire field of medicine retains its very lucrative industry by withholding a cure.

I can go on and on but you get the point. Our federal government is a corrupt and criminal political body that has long hedged itself in from actual reform and continues to usurp states rights, our constitution, our health, our privacy, our property, our freedom and our very lives by its cancerous growth. All in the name of security and progress. And the laws and infringements become more numerous while the lawmakers exempt themselves from their own tyranny.

Their objective is to sell us out on every level and create a climate of despair amongst the American people. To break us down. Violate us. Tear at our wills to survive. To give up hope and surrender control. To not care. It is their intent to enslave us and with any luck, turn us criminal. While the cash cow of a police state and all that entails becomes a reality.

Is it any wonder why the gun lobby is so powerful? The gun lobby being the American people, not the NRA.

It is because Americans distrust and fear our government. We know that our guns, our Second Amendment is the last fragment of spine to our constitution. We know that its not about street crime but government crime. That it is about our ability to wage war, kill tyrants and restore true freedom. And they fear us because so long as we have weapons, they cant whore us out to the rest of the world and obtain absolute power and control of our lives. They cant walk into every home and bury our necks under their boots. Cut our throats. Exterminate us.

This is at the heart of the gun control debate today but its not being said. And you wont hear the infamously corrupt UN, the chief author of every genocide since Hitler, say anything about this being itself a partner in this crime.

Let all Americans agree within the congress of our own minds that despite our differences, to defend our right to remain armed and keep our guns to the death if necessary. As a songwriter once wrote, "I have seen the future brother, it is murder".

Well it's kinda funny how that works, Rabbi. We go out and read things and view things beyond what the government and the MSM provide for our consumption. Then we come up with all these bizarre ideas about freedom and corruption and the Constitution and Rights and things. Somebody's gonna have to do something about that, eh?

Point by what point? Property taxes? Inheritance taxes? The WoD? National ID's? Foreign aid? Corrupt government? Other than, maybe, the take on cancer research I'd like to see an attempt at a serious rebuttal.

Remove the first paragraph and the last few paragraphs on guns, and 80+% of America probably agrees. (Not that I disagree with the last few paragraphs, and I know better than to comment on the first paragraph.)

I wouldn't mind comparing numbers on how much national healthcare would cost compared to the amount of foreign aide we hand out. Just out of curiousity. Oh yea, and toss in the amount for any wars in which we're bringing freedom to non-Americans.

How To Write An Essay To Post On THR

All of these "thought" pieces I see here have an amazing consistency. So just thinking over them I decided to make a template or guidelines so people could write their own essays and post them here.

1) Make wild un-founded but plausible sounding assumption. E.g:
a) "America Is Headed For Failure!"
b)" Our enemies triumph over us!"
c) "Land of the free, home of the brave??"
d) "If our fore-fathers could see us now"

2) Back up point #1 with a litany of problems, choose as many as apply
a) Illegal immigration
b) High taxes
c) High unemployment
d) Outsourcing
e) Death of main street business
f) Ignorance of college grads
g) Politically corect speech on campus and the workplace
h) Litigation explosion
i) Gun control
j) The USA-PATRIOT Act
k) Islamic extemism
etc

3) Write about these issues with all the finesse of a Rupert Murdoch paper. In fact, quotes can be lifted wholesale or doctored to fit the situation. Make sure to include grammatical errors, usage errors and punctuation errors to add the authentic "man in the street" democratic touch.

4) Finish by re-stating the opening, that unless America pays attention to [insert favorite topic here] then it will go the way of the British, Spanish, and Roman Empires.

"And the perpetual enslavement created by property tax. The IRS will send men with guns to collect you know so be nice."

Nonsense. The IRS does not collect property taxes. It's all local. My check goes straight to the city.

And real estate taxes are local. It's due 6/15 and the bill should be here by Friday. Good thing I got them to lower the assessment by 10%. Of course, the couple across the street just sold the same basic house for $70k more than my reassessment, so it's going back up next year...plus some. :(

And this paragraph here pretty much invalidates any actual points the writer was attempting to make ...

Do not panic, all is well, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, we have the situation well in hand and are looking out for your best interests.... :banghead:
We can't allow Washington D.C. to get nuked. Those buildings are works of art and the Smithsonian has a lot of really cool stuff.
That would be the only real loss if Washington D.C. got wiped off the map.

Thanks. I forgot to add:

3a) Insert semi-witty comment that shows you have mastered the art of sarcasm and irony (or at least can spell the words) to hint darkly that [insert bogeyman here] is an evil menace and intent on our downfall. One advantage of this technique is that you can make claims with plausible deniability without ever offering anything resembling an argument so it is beyond refutation.

How could I have forgotten that?

I would have to agree somewhat about medical cures. The cold and flu market is a multi billion dollar industry. There's no way someone hasn't come up with a cure to the common cold yet. I also believe that they have come up with cures to much more serious illnesses, but as with everything else, money talks. Why cure something when your making millions to billions with what your currently doing now. Yes it's pessimistic, but for the most part I agree with this point.

I wouldn't want to see a nuke go off in DC, but sometimes I think a good revolution to clear out the guys who have been there WAY to long isn't such a bad thing. Figure we get together our own 1 million armed citizens march through DC. That should make it interesting.

The desperation is palpable. "All is WELL!" "ALL is well!" "All IS well!"

Repeat it often enough and it must be true, eh? Sometimes I wonder if the country doesn't deserve its fate, considering all those who seem determined to help it along. :barf:

It probably can be cured with large doses of Interferon which is not only extremely expensive but has side effects as well. If you really want to see health costs spiral out of control, start giving people $50,000 antiviral regimens to cure something that will pass in a few days anyhow. Yup, money talks, BS walks.

It is impossible to cure influenza, as it is not one bug, but rather a family of thousands of different varients. The only way to 'cure' influenza is to make humans immune to all viruses and bacteria. Not possible, as we need certain bugs to function. (Digest food, etc)

OT, to an extent.

It's in a warehouse wedged in between the engine that runs on water (or is it the 100mpg carburetor?) and the Ark of the Covenant.

If you want real despair...

...go to GOOGLE and type in: Hillary individual society. You'll find that in 1993 she said "We must stop thinking about the individual and start thinking about what is best for society." [or close wording.

Then, on GOOGLE type in: Lenin society individual And you'll see where she got that idea. Now there's a reason for despair. "The needs of society" is the oldest call to tyranny.

Now I'm gonna tell you about the guy I know who invented a carbuerator that will get you 459 miles per gallon, but the government won't let him produce it.
